Before Ari's mother died, she made Ari promise to stick with her older brother, Gage. So when Gage decides he can no longer live with their bossy guardian, Ari leaves with him. There's just one problem - they have nowhere to go. As they couch surf between friends' apartments and homeless shelters, Ari struggles to keep up with schoolwork and friendships.
